Also, here are some illustrations in a slightly different style. I tried to draw the lines quickly to capture a sense of energy. I used a thin paintbrush dipped in black watercolour paint for the first, and a fine-tip black pen for the second.
There are still many works that I just did and want to share, including my favourite which is a woodcut-style illustration done on handpainted brown paper. Will try to get them up soon.

Thanks! Were you the one who asked if I was at the NTU talk?
congratulations on being featured in Teen vogue!
Ps love the illustrations!
no, that's not me. i asked you where you got your shoes in that outfit post.
i like the pink/grey ensemble in your illustration.
btw, i referenced your blog in one of my blog entries - it's about Lacroix's recent exhibition here.
hi! i'm beangreen. i am the friend of the girl who was sitting next to you(rachel). if i'm not wrong, you were from nj right? so which salv army did you frequent? i've been to the bukit timah and changi ones but didn't find anything.
Wow your designs are amazing! I design aswell but my drawings aren't as good. From where did you learn that well?
xoxo Kate

PSS Congrats on teen vogue's snapshot !!! You have really nice fashion sense.
Hey Love your blog!!! Congrats on teen vogue I am an ex snap shot girl as well! Check out my bog as well if you get a chance.
oh yes, i remember rachel. pretty cool that you recognized me. yup i was from njc so the SA i went to is in bukit timah. i think it depends on your luck and whether there's new stock. try asking if they stock on a particular day. so are you and rachel doing comm. studies at NTU then?
My shoes are my mum's and they're really old so I'm not sure where they're from. Kate: I took a-level art in junior college (graduated at the end of last year), but it's only in recent months that I started putting more effort in improving my drawing skills. I look to books and other people's work for inspiration and experiment on my own. Thanks for all the kind words!
congrats!
great, thoughtful interview, from an insightful, talented & stylish blogger.
continue to NOT follow the whims of fashion and march to the beat of your own stylish drum;)
i went to the SA at bukit timah again. i guess that i'm just not as lucky as you are at scoring cool finds at the SA! anyway, I was offered mass comm but i'm going to study business in SMU. rachel is going to do mass comm at mdis i think.
